Member's Handbook - Web Gateway

Dueling Modems' Web Gateway displays BBS Discussion Group messages via your web browser in a linear, non-threaded fashion, with all new messages in a conversation displayed on one continuous page.

The Gateway is a proprietary, in-house designed interface that displays messages from the Discussion Groups as HTML for viewing over the Internet using a web browser such as Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer.

The Gateway also contains programs that allow you to join (subscribe to) Groups, ignore (unsubscribe from) Groups, and post new messages to Groups you have joined.

Accessing the Gateway

There are three ways to access the Web Gateway:

• The Web Gateway Page walks you through the Gateway options. Use this page first if you've never visited the gateway.

• The Web Gateway Main Menu provides a short-cut to each of the Gateway options.

• Direct access to the "read messages" function.
