A
ABI TIRHAN - see TIRHAN, ABI. (corrected after listening to the episode again and hearing Allura's clear pronunciation of the name, I'd only listened to Coran's before and his is muffled.)
ACK - One of the three teenage boys on Planet Bravura who fights to save their people from Lotor and Haggar. His brother is Elby. His friends are Trill, and Trill's sister Tria. Together, they attempt to hold Lotor hostage.
AMBER - one of Hunk's young friends he met on his "internship" from the Space Academy. They live on a planet in the Azure quadrant (name of planet is unknown). Jaime is her friend.
ANGA - A humanoid-shaped creature with fiery red hair and green scaly body, Anga is chosen from amongst her hiberating people (the Medusans) by Lotor and Haggar to become a Robeast. However, when Pidge's lion is grounded and he encounters the transformed Anga, her maternal instincts emerge and she protects Pidge from Haggar. Haggar changes Anga back into her old self and deeply wounds her. The pained Anga helps Pidge get back to his lion and save the day.
ARMISTICE - A judge on Planet Amphrose who performs weddings but is also influential enough to sign peace treaties. We first meet him when he is marrying Tildar and Marib, but Lotor crashes the ceremony and kidnaps the judge in hopes of marrying Allura. From the V3D episode, "Bride of the Monster."
AVOK - Romelle and Bandor's older brother, son of Coba. He agreed to be turned into a Robeast when Planet Pollux allied with King Zarkon. He was defeated and swam out to sea, never to be heard from again.
B
BOBBY - Young boy who comes as an ambassador to invite the Voltron Force to a freedom celebration on Planet Yadl, which is really a trap to bring Voltron face to face with an evil replica double. He bears a striking resemblance to Jai of Nemon, which is also a desert planet. Bobby's young friend is named Lavi, who digs a warning in the sand to the real Voltron. [Personal opinion: in the original Japanese version of Golion, Nemon and Yadl were probably the same planet and this character the same boy, but somehow that fact got missed when the episodes were dubbed for VOLTRON...]
BOKAR - claims to be a prince from planet Senak, and Allura is smitten with him. Turns out Bokar's really a Robeast in disguise! Is there a real Prince Bokar of Senak? The answer to that is unknown...
C
CARP - An undisciplined, arrogant, but skilled pilot and rogue who fought for the Doom forces but later turns on them.
CASTOR - One of the members of Omnia's underground rebellion on Zaul. She refers to him by name after he suggests letting the traitor Joran go as he requests: "Castor is right, you are a free man. Go where you will, and may your journey be a safe one."
COBA - Former King of Planet Pollux, father of Avok, Bandor, and Romelle. He disappeared when Voltron defeated his son Avok as a Robeast. [NOTE: Haggar also calls her cat "Coba" in one episode but only the one time. Is it also the cat's name?]
CORRAL - Princess of Demos, sent as a bride for Lotor to unite the Demosian Empire and the Doom Empire. Lotor rejects her, insisting instead that he wants Allura, and Corral actually stands by his desire for the person "he truly loves." She speaks a language different from anything heard in the series, and only Haggar is able to act as interpreter.
D
DENNY - one of three young children who help the Voltron Force prepare for the Space Olympics. Suzie is one of the other children; the other is called Slugger once by Hunk but we never learn his real name.
E
ELBY - One of the three teenage boys on Planet Bravura who fights to save their people from Lotor and Haggar. His brother is Ack. His friends are Trill, and Trill's sister Tria. Together, they attempt to hold Lotor hostage.
F
FARLA - A beautiful young maiden who led a group of fighters originally serving (but later rebelling against) King Mag on Planet Lyra. She tries to help Lance get some of the Roses of Lyra to save Princess Allura but is badly injured and the Roses are destroyed. As a gift, she gives him seeds to plant so Roses of Lyra can be grown on Arus to save the Princess. Lance and Allura return with some of the seeds to replant the flowers on Lyra.
FISH MAN - Mirana's father, turned into the Fish Man by Haggar experimenting crossing a man and fish. In Haggar's eyes he's seen as a failure and put to work in the fields gathering poison flowers. His daughter and Lorn rescue him, and Mirana's able to nurse him back to health (and normality) with her flute-pipe. His real name is never given.
G
GARRETT - Coran's son, his mother is Leda. When Garrett was a baby, he and his mother were forced to evacuate the castle in a terrible attack. They fled to the mountains and got help from Runan, who used his magic mental powers to call forth a star fleet from another dimension called Elsu. Leda and Garrett live safely in Elsu, a secret shared only by Runan and Allura (the others were told mother and child were dead, the same ruse Runan's people told Zarkon). Haggar used her magic to create an evil clone to pose as Garrett and infiltrate the Castle of Lions, but Allura was able to reveal him as a phony.
GOURMA - the Royal Doctor of Planet Arus. Seen in two episodes: the one with the Roses of Lyra and also the episode where Allura is made "dead" by the magic knife. He is named in the Roses of Lyra episode only.
H
HARAM - intially vocally part of the rebellion of slaves on Planet Mora, he works to gain Lotor's favor and asks to shoot the cannon they're building in exchange for freeing his people. Haram speaks to Lance and Keith, and expresses bitterness that Voltron was not around to save them initially. They sway his thinking and instead of firing on Voltron as ordred, Haram opens fire on Zarkon's Centipede Express that orbits planet Mora.
J
JAI - Young boy who escapes from Planet Nemon, where Zarkon's nephew Tabor has taken over the planet, and comes to ask the Voltron Force for help. Jai bears a striking resemblance to Bobby of Planet Yadl, which is also a desert planet.[Personal opinion: in the original Japanese version of Golion, Nemon and Yadl were probably the same planet and this character the same boy, but somehow that fact got missed when the episodes were dubbed for VOLTRON...]
JAIME - one of Hunk's young friends he met on his "internship" from the Space Academy. They live on a planet in the Azure quadrant (name of planet is unknown). Amber is Jaime's friend.
JORAN - Originally worked for Zarkon, but when he saw a robot whipping a slave he rebelled. Joran's punishment was to be made a slave and he was sent to Planet Zaul to mine lazon. A fight with other slaves caused him to be injured and left on the sands of Zaul, but Omnia came to his rescue and after getting help from the Voltron Force, helped them drive Zarkon from Zaul.
JUNGLE WOMAN OF PLANET MIRA - see Mirana.
K
KRUEGER - A General of the military forces of Planet Oron who convinces his planet to quit the Alliance and rely solely on their own military weapons. Zarkon seizes the opportunity and attacks Oron, and an unwelcome Voltron Force -- along with the aid of Oron's Senator Roland -- must drive Zarkon's forces from the planet.
L
LAVI - Bobby's young friend from Planet Yadl, who digs a warning to Voltron in the sands.
LEDA - Coran's wife and mother of Garrett. Coran believes she and the son are deceased, but they really live safely in another dimension thanks to Runan. Only Allura and Runan know the truth.
LORN - Lieutenant in the Galaxy Alliance, a transport carrying him and other recent Academy graduates is forced to crash-land on Planet Mira. Lorn is hurt and rescued by Mirana (the Jungle Woman), and falls in love with her. At the end of the episode, he requests to remain on Planet Mira and his request is granted.
M
MAG - Crooked King of Planet Lyra. He had dealings with Zarkon to sell him quantities of the Roses of Lyra for Haggar to make regular quantities of a potion to prolong Zarkon's life.
MARIANNE - a pacifist robot scientist who grew up on Arus and saw her home destroyed. As an adult, she moved to the peaceful planet Caspia to continue her work.
MARIB - a young woman who hails from planet Noove and elopes to planet Amphrose with her love Tildar. Their wedding ceremony, conducted by judge Armistice, is interrupted at the tail end by Lotor kidnapping the judge in hopes of marrying Allura. From the V3D episode, "Bride of the Monster."
MILAN - representative of Titus that comes to the same summit as Remo and Abi Tohan. This is the only time the planet is mentioned, or Milan for that matter.
MIRANA - According to the Panini brand sticker book that was released that covered the first five episodes of Lion Force Season Two (a.k.a. New Adventures Season One) Mirana is the name of the Jungle Woman that lived on Planet Mira and fell in love with Lorn. It is worth noting that the titles of the episodes in the sticker book are the SAME as the ones reported on other sites for the episodes, so very likely this was her name in the script. The episode's official title: "Voltron Meets Jungle Woman." Her father is the Fish Man.
MOGOR - Commander of the Doom Forces in the first season and apparently one of Lotor's mentors. He REFUSES to serve Lotor once Zarkon is made to pilot a lookalike Robeast in the first season. Mogor is replaced by Cossack in the second season of the original series. Also, in the episode with Carp the rogue, his name sounds more like Morgil.
MORGAN - one of the three children that goes with Pidge to the old castle Haggar raises up from the ground as "treasure hunters." The two boys with her are never named, but they all live near the castle and Pidge knows them.
O
OMNIA - Leader of a group of rebels who live under the surface of Planet Zaul, where Zarkon had a lazon mining operation until Omnia's rebel group and Voltron drove Zarkon's forces away. Living amongst the rebel group is Joran, who formerly worked for Zarkon but rebelled.
ORLA - Allura's mother's sister, she comes for a visit in one of the early episodes. Exactly where she lives, why she has the title of Queen when Allura rules all of Arus, and the name of her sister (Allura's mother) are all unknown.
R
RED BERETS - an "elite" guard of robot soldiers created by Lotor and Haggar in one of their many attempts to conquer Arus.
REMO - representative of planet Titus at the same summit as Abi Tohan and Milan. This is the only reference to him or his planet in the series.
RO - captured and taken as a slave to Doom. Merla and Haggar offer him the chance to return to Arus and his lover, Taren, but they must deliver a jar of honey nectar to Keith for his birthday. Later in his guilt, he confesses to Taren (Haggar came in disguise and Merla isn't recognized), and the two of them go to warn the Voltron Force.
ROLAND - A Senator on Planet Oron who tries to convince his people that General Krueger is wrong in convincing their planet to quit the Alliance. Senator Roland aids the Voltron Force when they try to save Oron from being taken over by Zarkon.
RUNAN - A shaman-type in an Arusian mountain community. He used his magic mental powers to help Coran's wife Leda and baby son Garrett escape to freedom in another dimension. Only he and Allura know the truth; everyone else believes mother and child to be dead.
S
SANDY - One of the little Sandpeople that Allura befriends and is turned into a Robeast. The Voltron Force is introduced to Sandy by Professor Sarwa, an old friend of Coran's who appears to be an interstellar anthropologist.
SARWA - An interstellar anthropoligist who is a longtime friend of Coran's and friend to the Sandpeople, including Sandy. There is also someone at the summit meeting that looks like Sarwa and is only introduced as "Talor, who came despite illness" by Coran. From this, I infer that Professor Sarwa's full name is Talor Sarwa and that he is the political spokesperson for the planet of the Sandpeople.
SLUGGER - probably not his real name, but it's the name Hunk calls him when discussing the Space Olympics. He says he bets their junior team could beat Planet Doom, and he'd like to play in it. Hunk's response: "Someday you will, Slugger." His friends are Denny and Suzie.
STRIDE - A Tiger Fighter, his father served alongside King Alfor as part of the Astroknights. Originally called to battle against the Voltron Force by Zarkon's lies, Stride sees the honor in the Voltron Force and in Keith when they fight one-on-one. He realizes Zarkon has tricked him and helps the Voltron Force instead.
SUZIE - one of three young children who help the Voltron Force prepare for the Space Olympics. Denny is one of the other children;the other is called Slugger once by Hunk but we never learn his real name.
T
TABOR - evil ruler of planet Nemon until the Voltron Force drives him away. Tabor hosts a birthday party for his "Uncle" Zarkon, but appears to be very human compared to the evil King. The exact nature of the relationship between Tabor and Zarkon is unknown.
TALOR - see SARWA.
TAMMY - a young girl whom Pidge befriends when the Red Rain falls on Arus. When the Voltron Force is asked to give themselves up, the young girl willingly dresses in Pidge's uniform and goes across with the rest of the Force so Pidge can launch a surprise attack. Pidge later says she reminds him of his kid sister with the Space Explorers on planet Terra.
TAREN - her lover, Ro, is captured and taken as a slave on Planet Doom. He returns with a mysterious woman, who has a jar of honey nectar for Keith's birthday. Taren agrees to take it, but Ro later reveals that the jar was poison and the woman was Haggar in disguise. Together, they go to warn the Voltron Force.
TILDAR - a young man who hails from planet Caspia and elopes to planet Amphrose with his love Marib. Their wedding ceremony, conducted by judge Armistice, is interrupted at the tail end by Lotor kidnapping the judge in hopes of marrying Allura. From the V3D episode, "Bride of the Monster."
TIRHAN, ABI - political representative of planet Yadl who comes to a summit meeting on Planet Arus. Also at the summit meeting are Remo and Milan, representatives of two other planets. According from the episode where Voltron goes to Planet Yadl, Abi Tirhan's official title is "Governor." The Governor is not called by a personal name in that episode, but his physical resemblance is identical to Abi Tirhan. I believe they are one in the same. (corrected after listening to the episode again and hearing Allura's clear pronunciation of the name, I'd only listened to Coran's before and his is muffled.)
TOMMY - a teenage boy who lives on Planet Arus who rescues Pidge from a boar trap (set by Doom robots to get food for the troops) during a severe storm. His mother was injured in the storm and is bedridden. Tommy and Pidge go underground and face off with Lotor and his drilling machine.
TRIA - The young woman on Planet Bravura who fights with three teenage boys to save their people from Lotor and Haggar. Her brother is Trill. Her friends are Ack, and Ack's brother Elby. Together, they attempt to hold Lotor hostage.
TRILL - The leader of the three teenage boys on Planet Bravura who fight to save their people from Lotor and Haggar. His sister is Tria (who fights right alongside them). His friends are Ack, and Ack's brother Elby. Together, they attempt to hold Lotor hostage.
TWYLA - a pretty spy who agreed to crash-land on Arus and sneak into the Castle of Lions to plant a bomb in exchange for her people being freed. Also, her brother (name unknown) agreed to be turned into a Clawbeast but was defeated. Hunk was attracted to Twyla and devastated when she turned out to be a spy.
V
VOLTRICIA - A baby born during one of Zarkon's village raids; the town is saved by Voltron right when she is born. Her father (name unknown) led the city residents' fight to keep Zarkon out of town for good.
Y
YURAK - Original commander of Zarkon's armies. When Zarkon's son Lotor returns from his conquests, Zarkon decides to give Yurak his pink slip! Yurak begs for one last chance, so Haggar turns him into a Robeast to fight the Voltron Force. Ultimately, he is destroyed.
Z
ZANE - Count Zane of Phylos comes to the Voltron Force under a white flag in a Skull Tank and pleads for them to come save his half-planet, half-comet Phylos. Turns out the slime's in league with Zarkon... but is ultimately betrayed by the King of Doom.
ZEDA - Count Zeda of Tyrus seems to be Zarkon's liasion to the planet (as he mentions Zarkon has conquered the planet). He hosts Lotor's birthday celebration there.
ZEEBE - A Lady of Planet Pollux who informs Bandor that Romelle is gone from the castle, and brings a note saying Romelle and Sven are going to stop Zarkon and Lotor from launching a Robeast Army of 500 Super-Robeasts.
ZONDRA - a necromancer on Doom whom Lotor turns to for the potion that creates the Tree Beasts. This episode is Zondra's only appearance, and from dialogue he doesn't seem to be associated in any way with the Royal Court of Doom.
